Today, on the anniversary of Olivia Newton-John’s passing, I find myself reflecting on what it has meant to honor her through music over the years.
Olivia was so much more than an extraordinary singer, actress, and entertainer. She brought a unique warmth to everything she did; whether she was singing a tender ballad, lighting up the screen in Grease or Xanadu, or sharing her strength and grace with the world. Her music has always had a way of making people feel something: joy, nostalgia, hope, love, and the freedom to sing along without holding back.
For me, creating and performing The Olivia Show has never simply been about recreating songs or costumes. It has been about celebrating the spirit behind the music and the woman who made it so memorable. Every performance is an opportunity to share Olivia’s incredible catalogue with audiences who grew up with her and with new generations discovering how timeless her songs truly are.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of bringing this tribute to stages, theatres, events, and audiences who arrive ready to remember. From the country-pop beginnings of songs like “Let Me Be There,” to the beloved classics of Grease, the magic of Xanadu, and the energy of “Physical,” each show reminds me just how vast and meaningful Olivia’s musical legacy is. The Olivia Show celebrates the many chapters of her career, including the songs that made us dance, the songs that made us cry, and the songs that will always bring people together.
One of the most personal moments in my own journey came last year when I released my original song, “Oh, Olivia.” Writing and recording it gave me the chance to express something beyond what I can say onstage: my gratitude for the inspiration Olivia has been in my life and career. It was written from a place of sincere admiration, love, and appreciation for an artist whose light continues to reach so many of us.
I am grateful to everyone who has joined me at a performance, sung along to a favorite song, shared a memory of Olivia, or supported this journey in any way. Your stories and your love for her music are a beautiful reminder that Olivia’s legacy is very much alive.
Today, I remember Olivia with respect, gratitude, and love. It is an honor to continue celebrating her music, her heart, and the joy she gave to the world.
With love,
Sabrina Plaisance-Sia
The Olivia Show

Sabrina you are a true sweetheart on a wonderful career/mission. You are bringing Olivia's Love and Light every time you perform! Yesterday I walked into a casino to "Twist of Fate" and today into a restaurant playing Come on Over. Today I also went on a half day Lake Tahoe cruise and the young gal in charge of the music system played five ONJ songs!
Your Oh Olivia song is a deeply personal, kind of like "It's Always Australia for Me" and touching tribute to our iconic Olivia.
